My
name is Carolyn Usmar, I am an
OFSTED Registered Childminder living
in the North Tonbridge area.
In
my recent Ofsted
Inspection I received an outstanding
grading.
I have two children of my own
Ella (2005) and Harry (2008) and I
live with my husband Steve in a two
bedroom house with an enclosed
garden.
Both Steve and I have an
Enhanced CRB check.

I have successfully completed
an Introduction to Childminding
Practice Course and a 12 Hour
Paediatric First Aid Course.
I also hold a certificate in
Basic Hygiene standards.

|
|
I hold Public Liability
Insurance, am a member of the NCMA
(National Childminding Association)
and a member of the Tonbridge
Childminding Network.
|

|
|
|
|
|
I
have a full driving License and
occasionally use it to transport
mindees. The vehicle has appropriate
child restraints, has current MOT
and is fully insured for business
use.

Training
& Experience

|
Prior
to becoming a Registered
Childminder I worked in the field
of learning and development for
ten years, I feel very passionate
about learning and development and
have found my background very
beneficial when working with
children.
I have found it
particularly useful for planning
fun activities, lots of experience
of multi-tasking and having good
organisational skills.

Typical
Weekly Activities
|
|
My
aim is to provide a warm, caring and stimulating
environment, where every child in my care feels
safe, secure and valued.
Each child will be treated as an
individual and will be given the opportunity to
develop physically, socially and emotionally in
a warm and friendly, home-like environment. I
have a wide range of play and learning
activities for indoor and outdoor play.

I
see my role as being to provide a
normal daily routine and
environment incorporating all the
things a child would ordinarily
encounter with their parents, such
as walks, visits to friends,
attendance of toddler groups,
music groups or school,
stimulating play, craft and visits
to local shops, library and parks.

Contractual
Details
|
|
My
hours of work are Monday to Thursday from 07.30
to 18.15 and Friday from 07.30 to 15.00.
I take 4 weeks unpaid holiday each year.
I
am happy to accept childcare vouchers.

currently do school runs for Cage Green Primary
School and can also do pre-school runs for
Playaway, Little Crickets or Roselands – St
Philips Church providing times allow.
