I
have been registered as a
childminder since May 2001. I am
married with 3 school age children.
I offer good quality affordable
childcare. My last 2 inspections
were graded as outstanding in all
areas. As an accredited childminder
I follow the Early Years Foundation
Stage guidance for all children up
to the end of reception year and
plan activities and experiences for
them based on their interests. I am
able to offer funded sessions for
your child from the age of 3.
I am also able to accept
childcare vouchers some parents may
be entitled to through their
employers.

Various
activities are available for school children to
join in with i.e. art and craft, cooking,
gardening, wii, computer and a quiet area for
completing homework.
|
|
|
|
We
have a lovely garden with a large fenced off
pond and a rabbit. The children have access to
the garden in all weathers and enjoy looking
after the rabbit and feeding the fish.

|
|
|
|
There is
a playhouse, slide, lots of ride ons, sand pit
and large chalk board. If

I
have recently passed a level 4 NVQ in
Children’s Care Learning and Development and
am due to start a Foundation Degree in Early
Years in September 2009.
I am a member of the Childminding Network and am
able to access numerous training courses and
workshops i.e. behaviour management, special
needs, autism, anaphylaxia etc
I
have been a support childminder for the last 3
years mentoring newly registered childminders
during their first year of registration.

Typical
Weekly Activities
|
|
We visit
the group most Wednesday mornings. We also visit
the library, occasionally go swimming, visit the
park and indoor soft play areas.
If
we are at home the children choose toys and
activities including play dough, music and
movement, story time, garden, painting, other
messy play, puzzles.

Contractual
Details
|
|
I
prefer to work between the hours of 7.30am and
6pm although extra hours may be able to be
arranged by prior agreement. I am also available
for evening babysitting jobs. Please phone me to
discuss.

take to and collect from
Slade
Primary School
and Happy Faces Preschool. I can also take
and/or collect from Steps, Sevington and
Bidborough Preschool if the times and days fit
in with my existing arrangements.
