I am a registered childminder living in North Tonbridge with my husband and our 4 boys. We live next to a large field with woodlands behind us, we love being outdoors, and I am a member of the Forest Childcare Association.
2 of my children go to Hildenborough CE Primary where I also drop off and collect some of the children I childmind.
I love my job and get alot of pleasure from seeing the children thrive and develop. I keep daily diaries for the children, and take observations and photos to record their progress and development during their time with me, which I share with parents and we work together with to make sure their child is happy and well cared for.
Training and Experience

I have been childminding since 2012 and was previously a preschool manager for 13 years. I was graded outstanding by Ofsted at my last inspection.

I have an NVQ level 4 in childcare and education, and over the years have attended many different training courses covering various childcare subjects. I keep my childcare knowledge up to date by attending regular training courses, and always have my first aid and safeguarding training refreshed regularly.
Typical Weekly Activities
Many of the toys, activities, and experiences I provide follow on from the children’s interests, and I rotate toys regularly to keep the children interested and engaged in their play. I have a garden for outdoor play, as well as the fields and woods surrounding us. As a forest childcare provider I encourage children to spend time exploring the outside environment and learning about the natural world around us.
We also take part in lots of messy and sensory play.
We go to toddler groups or children’s centre sessions usually twice a week, and also go to parks, shops, library, swimming, cooking etc.
During the school holidays we like to go on some trips further afield such as bigger parks, beach, farms, soft play etc
Contractual Details
I am available on weekdays from 7am to 7pm
I accept funding for 2, 3, and 4 year olds and childcare vouchers
